Yousra commemorates the death anniversary of Hesham Selim
Artist Yousra marked the second anniversary of the late Hesham Selim’s death. She is sharing a heartfelt tribute on social media. She posted a photo of herself with Hesham, accompanied by a touching caption: “Time passes, but you remain with us in spirit. Yousra commemorates the death anniversary of Hesham Selim we miss you so much. I cannot describe the emptiness we feel without you, my love.”

Yousra added, “Your kind soul and good reputation continue to live on in people’s hearts. To this day, everyone speaks of you with admiration.” She concluded by saying, “May God have mercy on you and grant you Paradise. May He also give us the strength to endure your absence, dearest of all.”
Hesham Selim, the brother of Yousra’s husband, Khaled Selim, passed away in 2022. He is died at the age of 64 after a long battle with lung cancer. He had kept his illness private from those around him.
Hesham Selim’s Career: From Child Actor to Icon
Hesham Selim began his acting career as a child. He is debuting in the 1972 film *Empire M*, alongside Faten Hamama and Ahmed Mazhar. His early roles included a performance in *I Want a Solution* in 1975 with Faten Hamama. Rushdi Abaza, and The Return of the Prodigal Son in 1976, where he starred with Majida Al Roumi and Hoda Sultan.
After completing his studies at the Institute of Tourism and Hotels in 1981, Hesham pursued art at the Royal Academy in London. His return to acting was marked by his role in *Forgery of Official Documents*. In 1984 alongside Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Mervat Amin. That same year, he appeared in Shadia’s final film, *Don’t Ask Me Who I Am*.
