Hesham Abdel Khaleq Makram at Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival
The organizers of the Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival announced that producer Hesham Abdel Khaleq. Hesham Abdel Khaleq Comments on the Honor
Hesham Abdel Khaleq expressed his gratitude and joy for receiving this honor. Highlighting the festival’s role in fostering connections between young talent and their artistic predecessors.
He emphasized that recognition by film festivals serves as a genuine sign for filmmakers that they are on the right path. “This honor has special significance because it coincides with my election as president of the Cinema Industry Chamber,” he said, adding that he hopes it marks the start of fruitful efforts for the Egyptian film industry.
Festival President Highlights the Importance of Honoring Hesham Abdel Khaleq
Screenwriter Mohammed Al-Basousi, the festival president, noted that honoring Abdel Khaleq acknowledges his crucial role in maintaining and advancing the industry.
“Egyptian cinema, with its nearly 130-year history, has been sustained by the efforts of numerous producers who have contributed significantly to its progress,” Al-Basousi said. He further explained that since the festival’s inception. The focus has been on honoring prominent producers who have made significant contributions to the industry. Last year, the festival honored the esteemed producer Gaby Khoury. This year, the honor goes to Hesham Abdel Khaleq, a producer who has launched generations of directors, actors, and stars in various aspects of cinema.

Hesham Abdel Khaleq has produced 23 Egyptian films, including well-known titles. About Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival
The Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival is organized by the Arts Foundation for Culture and Media. Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Red Sea Governorate, Air Cairo, and Sunrise Garden Beach Hotel. Its second edition will run from September 19 to 24, 2024.
