In a message shared through her Instagram Stories, Shukran wrote: “The union membership is honorary and deeply appreciated, not related to nationality or identity, as I have been part of this community for a long time, you clever ones. It’s unbelievable how much bullying comes, unfortunately, from our own people.”
Shukran expressed her immense gratitude for any recognition she receives from any institution. She also urged people to stop fueling false trends and spreading baseless rumors.
The Syrian Artists Syndicate honored Shukran Murtaja by granting her “honorary membership” after her 30-year-long artistic career. Along with her, fellow artists Suzan Najm Al-Din and Safaa Sultan were also recognized.
Currently, Shukran continues to enjoy the significant success of her series Love Game.
In addition, Shukran will participate in two upcoming projects this year: Serum, directed by Tamer Ishaq, and Roxy Nights, directed by Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
